Whether your child is a budding athlete or simply interested in trying out a new sport, this academy is the perfect introduction to the world of netball.
Program Details:
The Echunga Netball Club is proud to announce the return of the “Future Stars Academy” training program for the summer of 2023/2024. Following the success of the program launch in 2022, we’re excited to offer this fantastic opportunity once again. Based on the Net Set Go program, the Future Stars Academy aims to provide a cost-effective way for children aged 5 to 7 years to access the Sports Voucher program, all while learning essential netball skills.
The academy sessions are carefully designed to be date-friendly, ensuring that your child can seamlessly transition into playing Winter season netball in the year they turn 7.
The 10-hour long program will be split into two phases: the first phase commencing on 1 November 2023 (Week 3, Term 4) and ending on 6 December 2023 (Week 8, Term 4). The second phase will start on 14 February 2024 (Week 3, Term 1) and conclude on 6 March 2024 (Week 6, Term 1).
During these sessions, participants will receive comprehensive training, a singlet, and a water bottle to keep them refreshed and motivated.
Enrolment and Costs:
Enrolling your child in the Echunga Future Stars Academy is not only a fantastic opportunity for skill development but also an affordable option for parents. The total cost for the 10-session program is $100. You have two payment options available:
- EFT Payment: Simply transfer the program fee to the Echunga Netball Club’s bank account. This option provides a convenient and hassle-free way to secure your child’s spot in the academy.
- Sports Voucher Program: If you’re looking to utilize the SA Government Sports Voucher program, you can download the voucher claim form here and submit it via email to echunganetball@internode.com.au. This way, you can cover the costs of the program through the voucher with nothing out of pocket.

When and where?
All sessions will take place on Wednesday afternoons from 3.45 pm to 4.45 pm. Our courts are located at the Hahndorf end of the Echunga Recreation Grounds, providing a great outdoor environment for your child to learn and play.
We also have provisions in place to ensure that sessions will proceed regardless of the weather. In case of rain or heat, we have access to the half court shed, ensuring that your child’s learning journey remains uninterrupted.
A Rewarding Experience:
At the conclusion of the academy, each participant will receive a medallion and certificate to commemorate their dedication and achievements throughout the program. This is a wonderful way to acknowledge their hard work and encourage their enthusiasm for netball.
